There were no easy rides as Johnson asked the tough questions any hard-hitting journalist would, including whether I'd ever felt like a "shill" for the oil patch. Following the frank interview Johnson turned off the recorder and revealed that he's a fiction writer as well, and pens a great personal blog called Literary Goon.
Turns out we like many of the same authors, including Cormac McCarthy and Margaret Atwood. Once again proving that B.C.'s Kootenays are a hotbed of creative talent and appreciation.
